The Biden-Harris leadership has come at a time of great internal strife in the country, fuelled mostly by the ongoing racial tensions, inequalities, and extreme nationalism. This report delves into America’s hopes and expectations from the new administration and its many promises. Political campaigners can leverage this data in their decision making.

America got its first woman and first black Vice-president in a year that was marred by racial tensions and white supremacy. President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris came to power on the promise of delivering peace and unity to the country that was bursting with anger and resentment over black killings and pandemic sufferings. And they seem to have hit the ground running. Their very first cabinet is being described as the most diverse ever, with women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ community making up the majority. President Biden also reversed many Trump-era policies upon taking charge, including a ban on transgender people in the military and continued funding for the Mexican border wall. Having witnessed four years of Trump’s tumultuous presidency, how excited and hopeful are Americans of this new administration? Piplsay polled 30,336 people nationwide to get some insights.
